I Wish I Could See the Original Designs for The George Washington Carver Coin

Sharing is caring!

When I found out that the original designs for the George Washington Carver coin were rejected I have been searching for pictures of them. If you read the earlier posts you know that Issac Scott Hathaway did the design for the Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver coins.

However, this artistic genius was not allowed to use his original designs. In addition the reverse of the coin is over crowed with the verbiage reflecting the political agendas of the that era.

I am still very excited to have the coin and see it as a valuable piece of history. But I wonder how much more it would shine if Issac Scott Hathaway was able to totally have his creativity full expressed without the obstruction of those who had other agendas.

If anyone knows where I can see the original designs please let me know.
